I had seen this earlier this year, with the New York Philharmonic. I rather enjoyed watching the movie clips again, but it’s pretty much a cash cow for the performing orchestra. Nothing terribly memorable about 90% of the music. The conductor of this program, Cristian Macelaru, is the Associate Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Not as dynamic as David Newman and the Philharmonic, but enjoyable nonetheless. This is a particularly good experience, I think, for children. And there were certainly plenty at this performance!
